Wow...a month and a half?!?

So, as you may or may not have noticed I have been kind of M.I.A. as of lately. This is due to the fact that I have no been booking any shoots because in two weeks...are we ready??...I'm moving to Oregon!! So I've really just been focusing on finishing up my schoolwork, getting all of my affairs in order, and preparing for my BIG move. However, I have been feeling guilty about not blogging lately so even though I won't really have any new photoshoots to post I decided I am still going to blog little things here and there. So just keep checking in for those and give me some time to adjust to my move and I will be back on top with all NEW photos of a new place! I am also planning on doing a 365 photo blog at the beginning of the year to document my first year in my new home. I'm very excited about it and can't wait for this new leg of my life to begin!

For now, a couple of weeks ago on my way back from the pistachio festival up near barstow I stopped by the victorville car show and snapped some photos for my grandpa who is an avid car buff and professional photographer. I only took a couple because I didn't really plan on showing them to anyone but him but I decided I would post them on here as well. Keep in mind please, I have NEVER taken photos of a car before and this was my very first attempt so please be kind! [=

I hope you enjoy and I promise I will not dissapear on you for this long again. Check back within a couple days for a new post maybe I'll post a tutorial.

Oh! I forgot the band photo!

Here's the band photo I ended up going with...

The Fergusons

On Monday myself, Jason, and our friends Johanna and Dusty all had a big semi-road trip full of good music and fresh air up to Snow-Line Orchard for the day. Our goal was simply to have fun and take some nice casual photos of them since they weren't extremely happy with their recent engagement shoot. Also, Jason and Dusty just started a folk band and wanted to get a band photo in as well! Oh and the best part...Dusty went to University of Redlands and is friends with the owner's son! SCORE! Everything we did we kept joking that if we got caught all we would have to say is, "It's okay! We're friends with Randy!" Luckily everyone up there is really relaxed and laidback and no one seemed to have any problem with us roaming around and even staying after they closed.
I had never been but oh my goodness was it GORGEOUS! Dusty has his bachelors in graphic design and is gettin pretty good at still life photography but is still learning with models so it kind of served as a tutoring trip also. Me telling him what to set the camera at, what angle to shoot, how to get flattering sun flares in the shot, ect. Luckily Dusty loves the camera as much as I do and everything he saw he would say, "Take a photo of me here!" or "Oh! this is an AWESOME spot!" (he was quite the camera hog! ha) We were like little nerds at a star wars convention! (no offense to anyone who likes star wars conventions...I myself am quite the Harry Potter nerd)But none the less it was an AMAZING day and an awesome shoot anyone that hasn't made there way up there most definitely should. It's only an hour away in Oak Glen but feels like a completely different world!
Enough of my blabbering! Here are the photos!

Friedhof Family Portraits

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing my co-worker Jenn and her beautiful family. It had been raining the day before and been cloudy for the last couple days so rain was something I was a little worried about! To our luck it ended up being a beautiful day and we got some really great shots! Her boys were so full of energy it was sometimes a little hard to keep up, but boy were they cute! Thank you again Jenn for letting me photograph your family and I hope you guys enjoy the photos!

Little Nothings...

Yesterday Jason and I were pretty bored and decided to go around Hesperia and take some photos to pass the time!

They're not anything amazingly special but here are my "little nothings" from the day!

and I absolutely LOVE this photo.
This is going to be one of my few LOVE spots in the high desert!
